If you have gotten this far in reviewing our project, you know that for every 2 meals we sell, we send 1 to people who are in need of food now. As we say, we want to help people who are presently living in the food shortage problem that we are afraid may come to us. We know where there is a present need today.
I have a dear friend who lives in Burkina Faso, Africa. That country has a population of approximately 23,000,000 and is being flooded on their northern border with refugees fleeing a war. These displaced refugees find themselves in a barren land with no food, water, housing or jobs. If I am to love my neighbor as I love myself, what would I want someone to do for me if I were in that situation? That is where we will be sending most of our donated food. I have personally been to his house and have followed his ministry for 30 years.
Joseph Koomson and his wife Christie have laid down their lives and personal comfort to serve those in need In Burkina Faso for over 25 years. They are presently feeding 25,000 refugees as well as 12,000 school children. In a country that is stretched thin for food supply, they have stepped up to fill the gap. We will be posting pictures and videos of their Christ centered love for their neighbor. While future plans will include many distribution points, we have chosen them as our first food ambassadors, because they serve a growing need with grace and compassion.
